We're Almost There!

Two weeks from tomorrow, Richie & I will be making our love official.  We are both getting so excited!!

Just a quick reminder that I still haven't received RSVP's from some of you.  If you are planning on coming, please, PLEASE text, call, or email me a quick RSVP.  Even though we aren't paying by the plate for food, we still want to make sure that there is enough food prepared for everyone.

Which brings me to my next reminder.  There are still a few items on the potluck list that we need.  If you're interested in contributing please contact me! Nobody is obligated, of course, but please do know that helping us provide food and drink for our special day is considered a gift in itself, and it would mean a lot to us.  You can find the updated list of food and drink here .

We can't wait to see you all soooooooooooon!!!!

Love,

The Bride ;)

POT LUCK/ FOOD LIST

For those of you who would like to contribute to the wedding by bringing a food dish, here is the list of items that we need.  Please keep in mind, we need about 7-8 pounds of each item.  We do not expect anyone to make that much of one dish, unless they would like to.  If you would prefer to make 4 pounds, please let me know so that I can assign the other half-portion to someone else.

{NOTE: Because this blog cannot be made private and we are unfortunately limited to how many friends and family we can invite to the wedding (if we could invite EVERYONE, believe me, we would), I want to encourage you to contact me about bringing food only after you have received your invitation in the mail.  Unless, of course, you have already discussed the fact that you are coming with either myself or Richie.}

GIFT REGISTRY

Hello to all of our friends and family!
We want you all to know how honored we consider ourselves to be that you have chosen to share our special day with us.  It is truly touching that almost half of our guests will be traveling many miles and mostly from another country, just to share in our special day. We have realized many blessings in our relationship – finding each other, becoming a family together with Gabe, the blessing of our own wee one Roisin, and embracing Richie's successful charter business as we make new plans to watch it grow even more.

WEDDING THEME & APPAREL

We have chosen to make this wedding as simple, fun and unique as possible.  Our theme is going to be "Rustic Country Picnic," and I challenge you all to say that 5 times fast!

Our ceremony will be outside, underneath a gazebo that is hidden inside a pretty little garden.  Our reception will be held only yards away from the ceremony location.  For those of you coming to the wedding, the address will be included on your invitation.  I'm hoping to have the invitations sent out within this next week.

The reception food will be set up as a pot luck, which I will be posting the list shortly after this entry for anyone who wants to bring a dish.  There will be entertainment for guests of ALL ages.  We will have music, some dancing, games, and we will also include a few wedding traditions such as cutting the cake and the bouquet toss.  What makes this wedding so special for me is the compilation of talent and gifts that friends and family have already contributed, in order to attain a wedding as beautiful and yet as cost-efficient as possible.

I am going to answer the two most important questions that guests have been asking...

Wedding Thoughts

My thoughts on the wedding, today:

*Invitations are being made, they'll be going out some time in January...

*We are so excited that quite a bit of Richie's family is coming over! In fact, we're definitely more excited about them coming over than we are excited about the actual wedding, itself.

*For food at the wedding, we are having a pot luck.  I will be posting on this blog a list of the foods we want, soon.  Anyone who would like to bring a dish can review the list and then email or call me to let me know which dish you'd like to bring.  Thank you in advance to all of the wonderful family and friends who will be helping us out with this!

Keep a lookout for more posts and details!! Comment with any questions you might have, or email me.

In the mean time, check out our engagement photos that my cousin, "Photography by Carmen," took for us.  She does great work, if you're in the SWFL area! She'll be shooting our wedding as well.
